Kate Perry - Creative Arts Therapy 

Our  lead therapist Kate Perry has extensive experience working with women, children and teens as a counsellor for the past 15 years. After working a decade as a journalist, she retrained as a creative arts therapist, completing Masters of Creative Arts Therapy at RMIT in 2003.

Kate has been a passionate advocate for helping people give voice to their unique experience, empowerment for social justice, healthy communication and stronger relationships throughout her career.  Kate has worked extensively with individuals and small groups, with children, adolescents and women.

Her practice has always been trauma informed, and Kate have regularly updated training towards this in all her roles. Her individual and small group counselling work has supported clients affected by family violence, Victims of Crime, NDIS, sexual assault, bullying, those who experience anxiety and depression and relational struggles. 

 

Kate has also worked as an adult educator - teaching in creative arts for counselling at Chisholm TAFE. 

Kate is a long time resident of the Mornington Peninsula, and loves the country and beaches, as well as the vibrant community here. 

 

She is mother to one child, two dogs and two chickens.

Kate's current practice is based on the hinterland of the Mornington Peninsula.
